South Coast Holiday Cottages - Terms and Conditions.
Payment of the Booking deposit constitutes the customer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation/Refund:
COVID: Partial tariff refund might apply if resurgence of COVID has occurred, and NSW or Federal health authorities have directed visitors, at short notice, to return to their home locations.
BUSHFIRE: Partial tariff refund might apply if Rural Fire Service or other Emergency Services personnel have directed visitors to leave at short notice.
However if the Jervis Bay & Basin area’s access and amenities are unaffected by bushfires (i.e functioning and accessible), & the guest chooses to depart/or cancel at short notice, there will be no refund applicable.
Otherwise: 6 weeks or more notice = full refund of deposit; Less than 6 weeks, but more than 2 weeks = 50% refund of deposit if we are unable to refill the vacancy. Less than 2 weeks = no refund of deposit if we are unable to refill the vacancy. When advised of a cancellation, the owners will endeavour to refill the vacancy.
PAYMENT
Non-holiday times:
Full payment in advance, on credit card.
Overnight bookings - full payment in advance by credit card only.
BOND: Will be required at owners’ discretion, and will be returned to Guests if,
a) occupation conditions relating to Noise Restrictions (refer paragraph below) have been complied with, and
b) upon inspection, the property owners assess the property to have been left by the Guests in acceptable state of care & cleanliness. Guests are liable for payment for repairs to damage caused (by Guests) to the rental property & its inclusions.
Christmas/New Year, Easter, and Longweekends - full payment in advance is required.
Linen:
Yellow Cottage - all beds made up, + one bath-towell pp.
Sanctuary Point Retreat - None provided. Guests must bring their own pillow-slips & sheets for all beds.
Dogs are accepted in Yellow Cottage only (but not in the Sanctuary Point Retreat): allowed inside but not on the furniture nor in any room with carpet, which are bedrooms. Dog owner must clean up dog droppings from the yards, before they depart. Other pets may also be accepted - ask when you book. The property owners are not responsible for the health/welfare of the Guest’s pets.
Bringing a dog in to the Sanctuary Point Retreat prevents return of Bond.
Smoking: prohibited inside at all times, and on any balcony from which smoke can drift inside.
Number of persons in the booking must not exceed the number stated by the Guests when the booking was made. Extra persons in the group not previously advised, will incur standard ‘per night’ extra tariff.
Property accommodation capacity is based on the owner’s assessment of that property’s ability to meet the Guest-group’s needs for health & safety reasons, and practical capacity of the facilities.
Standard check-in time is 2.00 pm, and departure time is 10.00 am, unless otherwise arranged with the owner.
However variations can apply depending on previous and departing guests i.e. if no same-day incoming guests, check out can be late in the day. Please ask.
Noise restrictions: Functions or parties requiring external broadcasting of recorded or live music/noise are prohibited on our properties. Our properties are for accommodation purposes only.
Requests to Guests (from neighbours or property owner) for reduction of noise or disturbance must be complied with completely & immediately by the Guests.
Disregard by Guests of repeated requests for reduction of noise/disturbance, may result in termination of letting, and eviction with no refund of tariff.
Guests’ personal property:
The property owners and their agents, are not responsible for breakage, loss, theft of the Guests’ personal property.
Garbage must be sorted by Guests into correct bins. i.e. recyclables separated from non-recyclable.
Cleaning/Departure: Guests must leave the house in at least a similar clean & tidy condition, to that when they arrived.
Extra cleaning (beyond usual average cleaning time) required by the cleaners may incur a further fee to the Guest’s credit card, or loss of bond.
Keys must be returned to the property owners, according to instructions provided by the property owners.
